We have pulled these from Trip Advisor,
“Spectacular Day-long Boat Cruise” Reviewed October 29th, 2015 -WOW!!! Where to start…included on my bucket list of St. Lucia was a boat cruise – not the typical one where 10-15 couples are included on a boat, but a more intimate adventure. Unfortunately, at the last minute our trip mates had to cancel the trip, and we were coming alone. I still couldn’t let go of my dream, and was able to convince the hubby that this was a “once in a lifetime experience!”
Although Mystic Man is located in Sofriere and we were in Castries, they offered to pick us up at a small marina in Castries, just a few minutes from our home. We were greeted by David, the first mate, and boat captain Nigel. From the moment we arrived on the boat, it was heaven! From sailing on the open sea, to heading over to a pod of approximately 300-400 dolphins, to snorkeling in two locations, the day couldn’t have been better. The experience with the dolphins is something I will never forget!!! Both David and Nigel offered very informative information about the island, something I found many St. Lucians are eager to share!!
Based on our experience, you can’t go wrong with Mystic Man Tours!!
“Wonderful Sunset Cruise” Reviewed September 14th, 2015 -My wife and I were picked up from Sugar Beach by Mystic Man Tours for a sunset cruise. As soon as we hopped onto the boat, we were warmly greeted by the crew and handed a rum punch. When we pushed back from the dock and started our cruise we were treated with spectacular views of the Pitons. Continuing our journey out into deeper water, the peaks of St. Vincent and Martinique came into view. During the entire trip, the crew is handing out hors de vours as well as ensuring that your beer or cup of rum punch is never empty. We headed up the coast some more and then turned around to see Jade Mountain Resort. We stayed close to shore and the captain took us to see and hear the “Bat Cave”. Once we had seen this the sun started to set, the rum punches that never stopped flowing and the Bob Marley playing in the background made for a truly memorable experience. The crew graciously took pictures for the couples on the ship to help capture the experience. Once the sun had set they took us back to Sugar Beach, not before we were able to indulge in a couple more rum punches. When we sit back and think about some of our most memorable moments from St. Lucia, the sunset cruise by Mystic Man Tours is very close to the top of the list.
“Amazing Fishing Trip” Reviewed July 3rd, 2015 -We had a wonderful fishing trip with Captain Charlie. My husband and I took our grown son and his two teenage daughters on this trip. It was an amazing four hours. They caught twelve fish including eleven large Mahi Mahi. They had three fish on the hook at the same time twice during our trip. The two helpers – Gary and Steve – were great fishermen and a lot of fun. Great view of the Pitons and a nice breeze when you go up top with the captain. Wonderful memories for our family. If you like to fish, this is something you definitely need to do on St. Lucia
“Very flexible and good guided snorkel tour” Reviewed December 30, 2014 -We had booked a private snorkel tour at two different reefs for a total of two hours. I requested them to drop off my wife and daughter who were not snorkeling at Anse Chastanet beach while the other two of us snorkeled. They agreed and offered to pick us up at 330pm from the beach. We snorkeled on Anse Cochon (whih was ok) and Anse Mamin which was a really great reef (see my separate review). On the way back, Erol and the pilot of the boat an older gentleman in a rasta cap detoured slightly to show us a natural water cave inhabited by bats. We had a great time snorkeling and their island cheerful attitude made it a pleasant day out on the water. Caroline in the front office had been very helpful in booking and taking our credit card over the phone to book the tour remotely before we got there. They are a little hard to find since they are all the way at the end of the water on the side near the police station and the jetty.
“FREEDOM SOIGNE” Reviewed December 21, 2014 -As the President of a hospitality consulting company based in New York that works with luxury resorts and hotels both nationally and internationally, I am a “stickler” for service. Mystic Man tours was recommended to me by the hotel that I was working with on the beautiful island of St. Lucia. My day aboard “Serendipity” was quite simply, delicious. Captain Andel was informative and most accommodating in every way possible. The 7 hour sail went to Marigot Bay for lunch. Being a lap swimmer, I swam in various locations along the way. I would recommend Mystic Man Tours without hesitation to any traveller.
“Outstanding Catamaran Snorkeling/Site-seeing tour” Reviewed October 16, 2014 -We had a small group of 12 from our Cruise Roll call that booked this tour; it was our first experience sailing and snorkeling from a catamaran. Our crew was outstanding; they answered questions, took pictures, provided local knowledge of the sites we visited, provided us with an excellent lunch on-board, and kept beverages of various types flowing throughout the tour. We saw some incredibly beautiful parts of the island, snorkeled at some gorgeous locations, and all of us enjoyed an extremely relaxing day. The crew from Mystic Man Tours took great care of all members of our party, and let the guests dictate the pace of the day. It was a great tour that I would highly recommend. It was one of the highlights of our tour, and certainly a GREAT way to experience St. Lucia!
“World class fishing in St Lucia with Mystic Man Tours” Reviewed October 24, 2013 -We chartered two full day and two half day fishing trips whilst we were on holiday in St Lucia. My husband has fished in many parts of the world and was very impressed by the effort, quality of kit and knowledge of the guys at Mystic Man Tours. He had 6 Marlin strikes over the trips and managed to pull in a blue c. 400 lbs, his biggest ever. The crew kept looking for fish even after the time paid for had run out, we will definitely be back to St Lucia to look for more Marlin with Mystic Man.
“Thank you to the crew, we hope to see you again!” Reviewed February 10, 2013 -Our family of twenty-three adults chartered the Mystic Man Tours catamaran during our recent Christmas week holiday. The booking process was easy, and their representative was detailed. All commitments and pricing were kept. They made it easy by docking next to our cruise ship, where we embarked within minutes of the ship.
The captain and his crew (Andel, Chea, etc. ) were professional, safety focused, and yet friendly and laid back enough allowing us to relax and enjoy the day. Overall, the crew did a great job.
The catamaran was clean, had two heads, a bar, plenty of seating, and shade for those who needed it. The catamaran was a Buhler 52. It’s not a luxury boat, but perfect for what we were looking for.
The snorkel destination was beautiful, a cove with nice scenery. We took our time and were never rushed. The equipment was ok for novice snorkelers. Pretty good fish and other sea life like eels were visible amongst the coral. The scenery during the sail made for great photos.
The Pitons, rum punch, and our bartender were great, although we wiped them out of Pitons towards the end of the sail. The food offered was fair. After the snorkel, we cleaned them out of the sandwiches and veggies, but there just wasn’t enough offered. We have been on comparable catamaran trips at other islands, and this is where they can upgrade. Not a major gripe, this was still a fun and memorable trip.
The day was enjoyable for our family. We varied in age from 21 to 83 years old, with each having a great sail with Mystic Man Tours. Thank you to the crew, we hope to see you again!
“Private Catamaran Tour” Reviewed February 25, 2013 - We spent a fantastic day last week on Mystic Man’s “Serendipity” catamaran. It was a private tour for our group of 8 adults and one 19 month old. Nigel and David, our crew, were fantastic. The catamaran was beautiful and comfortable. The food (choice of fish or chicken served with rice and vegetables) was excellent and the portion sizes were great. They also brought a smaller portion of chicken and french fries for the 19 month old. There was a good selection of beverages including pop, water, beer and rum punch.
Our tour went from Rodney Bay, down to Soufriere and the Pitons and back again. We started at 9AM and were back in Rodney Bay around 530PM. Nigel and David were able to answer any questions we had about the beautiful beaches and houses and towns we saw along the way. We stopped in Soufriere to pick up lunch, snorkeling equipment and to pay our bill in the Mystic Man offices. From there we sailed in between the Pitons where we stopped for lunch and snorkeling. I don’t have anything to compare to as it was my first time snorkeling but there were definitely some beautiful fish to be seen. After snorkeling we started back and Nigel and David spotted dolphins in the distance. A few minutes later we were treated to 5 or 6 beautiful dolphins playing in the wake around our catamaran. It was definitely an experience of a lifetime. On our way back to Rodney Bay we sailed in to Marigot Bay for a quick tour around the bay.
All in all we were very happy with the service we received from Wendell while booking the tour and from the crew during the tour. We found the price to be very reasonable for the day we had and it was definitely a highlight of our trip.
““Private 43 ft 5 hour Sail – AWESOME DAY” Reviewed April 1, 2013 - With a family of four with kids 11 and 12, we rented an all day private sail. From Wilson – our driver to and from the marina, getting onto the boat with Endell and Albert on the boat itself – it was educational, beautiful and the most perfect day. the kids enjoyed it, and we sailed up to Marigot Bay and had lunch there. Then sailed openly the whole way back. IN the distance there were whales and one bunch of dolphins but we didn’t get close enough to enjoy seeing them for photos.
But it was absolutely beautiful, we would do this again in a HEARTBEAT…… It was meant to be just a chilling kind of day – and it met every expectation had. Thank you all so much….
“Definitely worth the money, and so fun!” Reviewed April 8, 2013/em> - My husband, two children, and I had a wonderful time with Mystic Man Tours! We were staying at Sugar Beach Resort, and we were luckily able to book with the Mystic Man Tours through the resort. They picked us up promptly at the arranged time, and the two man crew couldn’t have been nicer! They offered good snorkeling spots and we saw a variety of different fishes, coral, and sea animals. The catamaran itself was in fabulous condition and perfect. At the front, there is a mesh flooring which is so cool to lie on, as you can see the water splashing up about 2 feet from your face! The crew was definitely skilled and clearly experts on sailing, and they even let my husband drive it for a while. The best part of our trip was when were out sailing for our next snorkeling spots. A pod of 10-15 dolphins were jumping literally right next to the boat; they were a couple feet right from us. We continued to see dolphins throughout our trip (we booked an afternoon trip – 1:00 – 4:00). They had refreshments and proper snorkeling gear as well. Overall, it was absolutely something we would do again. Definitely worth the money, and so fun!
“Wonderful and relaxing!!!” Reviewed April 29, 2013 - My husband and I had a day booked to sail around the island with Mystic Man. Let me start by saying our captain Andel and first mate Chea did a great job!!!! After stopping at the first snorkel spot and enjoying that experience we headed over to Marigot Bay. About 5 minutes into that journey the rain starting POURING!!!! I felt so bad for Andel and Chea. We offered to just stop until the storm could pass over so they could come in and get out of the rain, but they kept moving ahead. When we finally arrived at Marigot Bay it was slightly misting. These men did an awesome job telling us about areas of the island and pointing out certain landmarks to us. We had a wonderful lunch which was very good, however, I can’t remember the restaurants name. It was on the bay and had mangroves behind it. After lunch we got back on board and sailed back to Soufriere’. Again, we enjoyed the day greatly even with the rain shower. The boat was very clean and we enjoyed the rum punch and Piton beers the guys had prepared. Great job to you both for your dedication – even with a storm!!!!!!
“Nice Cruise” Reviewed May 8, 2013 -Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate but our crew still managed to track down some whales and serve us a great lunch. Snorkeling was tough in the rain and clouds but again not the fault of our crew. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again when back in town.
“Fantastic trip!” Reviewed May 16, 2013 -Wendell was excellent to work with to plan our 2 day charter, plus a day sail with family (to celebrate a wedding on the island). Nigel was our captain and he was absolutely the best!!! He anticipated everything we needed and even got us all fresh coconuts one afternoon so we could drink the coconut water with our lunch. They also arranged an excellent diving trip for us at a great price. The boat was extremely clean and well maintained and we would not hesitate to book with them again and will highly recommend Mystic Man Tours to anyone visiting St. Lucia.
“Amazing Fishing” Reviewed November 24th, 2012 -We booked a half day deep sea fishing and we were not sure what it would be like. I have been before in Mauritius and didn’t hold out much hope of catching anything but my husband is a keen salmon fisherman and wanted to experience deep sea fishing.
We were picked up by Jessie and Errol bang on time and taken out to sea with a quick briefing. Jessie and Errol were both great and determined that we would have a good day. It wasn’t long and we had a barracuda on the line that my husband reeled in. I was in amazement that we had caught something and then the suggestion came that we should go to deep water to find the big fish!
After a couple of beers and an hour’s ride to their “sweet spot” I was still in amazement that we had caught something and was not expecting anything more. Errol and Jessie were determined we would catch something though.
And sure enough suddenly we had 2 marlin on 2 lines. One was allowed to get away as we could definitely only handle the one to bring in at a time. Then after about an hour and a lot of sweat but great encouragement and excitement from Errol and Jessie he was in. A 200lbs Blue Marlin.
It was the most amazing day – I can’t recommend it enough and Mystic Man Tours are determined to look after you and make it special.
Thank you so much to Jessie and Errol, who even dropped by last night to deliver some of the catch which we are having for dinner tonight!
No one can guarantee a fish but they can definitely guarantee a great day which they did! Thank you
“Great day in St Lucia” Reviewed July 11, 2012 – We had a great trip, and the crew did a great job. We followed dolphins and we did some good snorkeling, but the scenery and relaxing sail were the highlight.
“Our Magical Mystery Tour” Reviewed May 23, 2012 – Andel and Chea were our pleasant hosts for a four hour sail from Soufriere and up the coast. Andel is a responsible and experienced seaman and steered our 43′ sailboat. Chea, also experienced, was very personable, pointing out all the sights along the coastline. He knows his island’s history and will talk about anything you want concerning the St. Lucia and her people. We learned the definition of terms i.e. Anse means bay, or Creole- pronounced “kwey-ole” originally meant “colony.” We stopped along the way to go snorkeling and felt safe at all times. The only thing that was a bit unnerving at first were the locals sitting in little boats awaiting our snorkel visit to sell us some conch shells. It would have been better if we were left alone but they were harmless and sweet. On our way back we saw dolphins leaping out from the sea. We recommend Mystic Man Tours. It is truly a “magical mystery tour”.
“We loved the boat trips!” Reviewed May 13, 2012 – My 8 year old son and I have just returned from St. Lucia and loved our holiday. Some of the highlights were the two boat trips with Mystic Man tours. We tried the Whale Watching tour and it was a profound experience to ‘meet’ the dolphins and the whales and of course we enjoyed the stunning views of the Pitons and the bays around there. Two days later we went snorkeling and yet again a beautiful encounter with nature. We could have kept going for hours. We were also looked after really well by the staff on the boat. They were so naturally helpful and accommodating and they were really sensitive to the fact that my son has never snorkeled before.I used to work with tourists and you can loose your compassion after a while. These guys were sincere and friendly from their heart. We had a great time.Thank you so much.
“Whale watching and snorkeling abound” Reviewed March 25, 2012 - We went whale watching and snorkeling with mystic man tours and had a great time. We saw sperm whales, a humpback whale, a hawksbill turtle, spectacled dolphins, and saw toothed dolphins all while whale watching in the morning. Then snorkeling we saw eel, baracuda, parrot fish, and plenty of others. Our guide Chey (sp) was very knowledgable about everything we saw and was able to answer all our questions. Our captain (whose name is escaping me:S) was also very friendly and knowledgable
“A first class tour company” Reviewed March 21, 2012 - I set up a boat tour prior to a cruise to spend the day on the water around St Lucia. We were met immediately upon debarking the ship by Mystic Man (holding a sign with my name) and took the few steps to the 43′ motor boat that was to be ours for the day. It came with a captain and first mate! We went whale watching (and saw whales!) and fishing (did not catch any) then went snorkeling between the pitons. What a wonderful place to be! We had a fantastic lunch (and drinks provided all day) on board, followed by more snorkeling and touring around the Island harbors. It was excellent and I would certainly choose them again the next time we are in St Lucia.
